As defined by the Royal Academy of Spanish Language an affidavit is a “legal document that serves as a proof or statement made under oath before a Court, or as a surety or guarantee in other cases.”

At Evicertia, an affidavit is a document in PDF format, which is electronically signed, time-stamped and notarized (optional), where all the information and certifications (of the content and notifications of receipt of the responses of events) that take place from the moment the issuer sends a communication until it is received, accepted or rejected by the receiver.

Affidavits are generated from some events (and therefore some affidavits can be repeated).

When the closed status is reached, an affidavit or another affidavit is also generated depending on the outcome.
